Instruction
Switch off the machine. Attach the foot as described in the instruction manual.

Applications:
- Sewing on buttons

Stitch type: zigzag stitch
Stitch width: 4 mm, adjusted according to the button
Needle position: centre
Feed dog: lowered/covered

Place the button onto the fabric and move them both under the presser foot. Lower the needle into the left hole of the button by turning the handwheel. Lower the presser foot to hold the button in position, ensuring that the button is aligned correctly. Using the hand wheel, check that the needle goes into the right hole. Adjust the stitch width if necessary. Sew several stitches. Cut the threads long enough, use a hand sewing needle to pull the upper thread to the back and tie off the threads.
If a shank is required, place a darning needle on the button and sew.

For buttons with four holes, sew the front two holes first, then move the sewing forwards and sew the back two holes.
